Die casting and sand casting solve different production problems. Die casting supports repeatable, higher-volume non-ferrous parts after tooling; sand casting supports larger geometry, broader alloys, and lower entry cost.
Use the forecast and geometry together
Compare annual volume, part envelope, wall thickness, alloy, surface finish, tolerance, tooling budget, and required secondary machining. A production decision should reflect the lifetime program, not only the first lot.
