Metal injection molding combines a metal powder and binder feedstock with injection molding, followed by debinding and sintering. The process can produce small, detailed parts at repeatable volume.
Where MIM fits
MIM is strongest when geometry would require extensive machining, the material is available as a qualified feedstock, and the production volume can justify tooling. Part size, wall uniformity, tolerance, and secondary finishing remain important constraints.
